LWTC Event Calendar

Some of the events run by the club are:

  • Ski races - a club champion is crowned every year
  • Tramps - to numerous locations including Waiopehu Hut in the Tararua Ranges
  • Work parties - for those keen to spend time at the lodge during the summer months for the purpose of lodge maintenance and upkeep.

    24th September 2011 Wellington Interclub Ski Races
    The Wellington Interclub Ski Races are on the 24th September this year, hosted by WTMC. We have entered a team and now need some willing candidates to race! The team needs the following:
  • 6 x Men (age 16 and above)
  • 4-5 x Women
  • up to 5 Juniors (under 16)
    Please contact Megan Jensen Email to register your name for the team. If you are already booked into the lodge for that weekend, you may find youself co-opted!! Its a really fun event and a great way to socialise with other clubs. There is an 'after match' held at WTMC following the races.
    • Sunday 9th Oct, from 12.30 LWTC Club Races. As decided (by me!) at the committee meeting up the mountain, the club races this year will be on the Saturday 8th October. This is quaterfinals weekend of the RWC but fear not, Lorenz's is playing all the games so you won't miss out!! It's also the first weekend of the school hols. At present the lodge is unoccupied, so get in quick. Or else that trophy's all mine!!!! Contact Kath
